Suffering takes on many forms and if gone unintegrated, may show up in the strangest of places. We may have an innate knowing that says that we've been living in "survival mode", we are "stuck," “blocked” and, simultaneously, knowing it is possible to move through this. Symptoms may manifest as chronic anxiety/fear, depression and overall dis-ease.
It is my belief that this is the result of the disconnection from ourselves and our authentic nature. If we can identify how to transform our suffering, we can integrate all parts of ourselves into our psyche harmoniously.
The first step towards transformation is to awaken, allow and listen to our Inner Healing Intelligence. Through genuine human connection, shared vulnerability, compassion, empathy, love, authenticity, safety and trust we can learn how to heal, liberate ourselves, live peacefully with ourselves, within our relationships, our communities and our environment.
Working with individuals with a wide range of human experiences has helped me see that there is more that we can do to be with each other in this realm we call the human experience. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy allows me to be with individuals on powerful journeys of self-discovery, transformation and healing.
I take a non-dual approach to healing, which is grounded and supported in the individual's quest for liberation, personal growth, the exploration of consciousness and healing. This model assumes that the only condition that needs addressing is the ego/illusory sense of the individual disconnected from the fundamental nature of being and reality. (Harvey Schwartz, Ph.D., Polaris Insight Center's Module 2 slides). Non-ordinary states of consciousness can be a catalyst to accessing this internal landscape. These states can be achieved in many ways including ongoing meditation, breathwork and the incorporation of psychedelics. Learn More
I understand everyone's healing journey is different and if non-ordinary state assisted psychotherapy is not right for you, I am still here to support you on your journey. I draw from many modalities including Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness and meditation, a Jungian/Depth Psychology perspective (my own independent exploration), Hakomi introductory skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, yogic philosophy and shamanism.
